At a Manifest concert, they intended to create a smoky display on stage. However, when the smoke affected the girls' hair in an unforeseen way, a humorous scene unfolded.

So, how did this happen?
When dry ice machines, artificial fog generators, and high-powered fans - all commonly used in stage shows - come together, they can rapidly alter the balance of humidity in the environment. Particularly, the force of the wind combined with friction can lead to a significant accumulation of static electricity in the air. The dynamic performances of singers and the insulation materials on the stage floor further contribute to this current being gathered in their bodies. This accumulated static charge, when it can't find a place to go, causes each hair strand to carry the same charge and repel each other, resulting in hair standing on end. While the audience may see this as a humorous stage mishap or an amusing moment, it's actually a momentary static discharge event governed entirely by the laws of physics happening behind the scenes.
