According to the data shared on Friday, June 26, 2026, Istanbul is gearing up to be fully under the influence of the summer sun in the upcoming days. However, the report reveals a crucial detail that will provide relief to Istanbulites just before the scorching heat hits: northerly winds.

AKOM has released a weather forecast report for Istanbul. According to the report covering the period from June 27 to July 2, temperatures in Istanbul are set to rise. However, the effect of the heat will be mitigated by the influence of the northeasterly wind. The strong breeze will serve as a barrier to excessive temperature increases, despite the sunny weather.
Throughout the weekend, thermometers will fluctuate between 28 and 30 degrees. Particularly, the highest temperature will be recorded as 29 degrees on Saturday, June 27, while it will drop to 28 degrees on Sunday, June 28.

Istanbul is set to start the new week off with a sizzle. According to the weekly forecast table from AKOM, temperatures are expected to gradually climb starting from Monday. As the new week kicks off, thermometers are predicted to rise as high as 33 degrees Celsius.

Sunday, June 28: Few clouds and clear, reaching 29 degrees Celsius
