Acclaimed actor Aaron Taylor-Johnson is set to collaborate once again with director David Mackenzie, known for the Oscar-nominated 'Hell or High Water' and 'Outlaw King.' Their new project, titled 'Fuze,' is a crime thriller that intricately weaves bomb-defusing drama with the intensity of a bank robbery. Produced, financed, and sold by European production group Anton, 'Fuze' promises to deliver a gripping narrative that combines high-stakes scenarios in a real-world setting.
'Fuze' unfolds against the backdrop of a London construction site where an unexploded World War II bomb is discovered, triggering a large-scale evacuation. As bomb disposal experts descend to defuse the explosive, the situation becomes the perfect cover for a simultaneous bank heist. The narrative cleverly merges the tension of bomb disposal with the intricacies of a heist, creating a pressure-cooker scenario that promises to captivate audiences.
Anton, renowned for its European Film Market presence, is at the forefront of producing, financing, and selling 'Fuze.'
UTA Independent Film Group and WME Independent will co-represent U.S. rights alongside Anton.
Gillian Berrie, the producer behind 'Outlaw King' and 'Tetris,' will produce 'Fuze' through her production company Sigma Films, alongside Sebastien Raybaud and Callum Grant for Anton.
Giles Nuttgens, the cinematographer known for his work on 'Hell or High Water,' is set to lens the movie.
David Mackenzie will direct the film based on an original script by Ben Hopkins.
