Nintendo announced that Zelda: Breath Of The Wild 2’s 2022 release window will be delayed. Even though a lot of gamers and fans have been excited about the game coming out this year, the company has decided that this time window is not enough to pack in all their plans for the game.

'For those of you who have been looking forward to a release this year, we apologize,' Eiji Aonuma announced in a recent video update that Breath of The Wild 2 will be having a Spring 2023 release window.  Though its release may have been delayed, it actually gives players a lot more to look forward to.

Why Zelda: Breath Of The Wild 2 Release Date Was Delayed

The release date was actually extended because the developers wanted to meet all expectations. Since Breath of the Wild was released in 2017, it has been a big hit and it even became a best-selling Switch game with 25.8 million copies sold worldwide as of December 31, 2021. Nintendo is planning to make another breakthrough and beat its own record.

'The adventure in the sequel will take place not just on the ground as in the previous game but also in the skies above. However, the expanded world goes beyond that, and there will be an even wider variety of features you can enjoy, including new encounters and new gameplay elements.' Anouma said that they are preparing the game a little longer because they want it to be more special for the players once it’s released.
