Tourists Lying on Floor for Christ the Redeemer Photo Go Viral
The iconic Christ the Redeemer statue, a symbol of Rio de Janeiro, reaches a towering height of approximately 38 meters atop Corcovado Hill. However, when visitors gaze up from the terrace right at the base of the statue, its full height seems impossible to capture in a single frame. Thus, the only way to fit into the same frame with the statue is to angle the phone upwards from below.
In a video shared by a tourist, visitors lying on the terrace floor are reflected in the camera. While some visitors lay flat on their backs, holding their phones aloft, others exerted considerable effort to fit into the same frame with the statue. The result was a series of shots where the exertion involved became the main topic of conversation, rather than the photos themselves.
