Pokemon Scarlet and Violet’s trailer video revealed the three starters for the new games in the form of Sprigatito, Fuecoco, and Quaxly. But with no news about their evolution lines, trainers are really curious on what their final form would look like.

Lots of theories, rumors, and speculations have risen but we found one to be the most convincing. A Redditor with the name Agoveb combined the typing triangle of Pokemon starters, existing Pokemon theories, and the key fact that the region would be Spain-inspired to come up with a very convincing hypothesis.

Fuecoco and the Cucafera ( Cucafuego)

Agoveb took inspiration from Spain’s rich culture and linked the starters to the things most connected to their nature and appearance. For Fuecoco we have a crocodile wearing armor made from a coconut, the Cucafera.  Agoveb believes that he would also be having bull-like features and because of the armor, Fuecoco’s final evolution would have dual typing, fire, and steel.

Quaxly and Don Quixote (Quaxotic)

Even though many are hoping for a sailor or pirate for Quaxley, Agobev theorized that he could  be based on Don Quixote and become a water/fighting type. This fits the weapons/warriors theory for water type starters and Quaxly being earnest also agrees to this theory.

Sprigatito and Iberian Lynx (Tangatto)

While many are hoping for Sprigatito to have a humanoid evolution line, Agobev suggests that he will most likely be based on the Iberian Lynx. A suave, attention-seeking, cat with Grass/fairy typing that represents dancing and romance makes so much sense.

Conclusion

This theory is super convincing since it has the perfect super effective triangle and especially when you look at the trailer that ties it all together. We can see paintings with peppers, windmills, and a dancer which all connects and hints us to Agobev’s theory.
