Turkey's 10th-happiest city was Şırnak with 71.36 percent, while Turkey's northernmost city Sinop was at the top. The happiness rate in the Black Sea port city was determined as 77.66 percent.

Located in the Southeastern Anatolia Region of Turkey, Şırnak has a happiness rate of 71.36 percent. 

The origins of this historical city date back to the 17th century Seyahatname of Evliya Çelebi and, according to some historical rumors, to before Noah's Flood.

The 9th place in the list is Siirt, one of the unique cities of our Southeastern Anatolia Region. Happiness rate in Siirt is 71.65 percent

3. Uşak

The happiness rate in Uşak, known as ‘Temenothyrea’ in ancient times, was determined to be 72.34 percent. 

Uşak, which is located in the region connecting Western and Central Anatolia in the Central Aegean Region, has hosted many civilizations from the Hittites to the Lydians, Phrygians to Persians, like many of our cities.

Düzce, the ancient city of the Western Black Sea, ranked 7th in the list with a happiness rate of 72.77 percent.

The 6th place on the list is the city of Çankırı, formerly known as ‘Gangra’ in the Central Anatolia Region. TÜİK determined the happiness rate in Çankırı as 73.5.

In the ancient city of Kütahya, which dates back to the 14th century and is famous for its Çini samples, the happiness rate is 73.76

7. Kırıkkale

7. Kırıkkale

Kırıkkale is another city from the Central Anatolia Region of Turkey that made it to the list. Kırıkkale, one of the important defense industry and petrochemical industry centers of Turkey, attracted attention with a happiness rate of 75.48 percent thanks to its economy and calmness.

8. Bayburt

8. Bayburt

Bayburt, whose oldest known history dates back to Azzi and Hayasalar, one of the deep-rooted tribes of Anatolia, ranked 3rd in the list with a happiness rate of 75.91 percent.

9. Afyonkarahisar

9. Afyonkarahisar

Afyonkarahisar, an ancient city from the Central West Anatolia section of the Aegean Region, ranks 2nd in the list announced by TÜİK. Afyonkarahisar, with its historical texture and its castle, having a remarkable place on the stage of history, has a happiness rate of 76.43 percent.

10. Sinop

At the top of the list is the most remote point of the Black Sea. Located in the northernmost part of Turkey, Sinop was one of the most important ports of the Black Sea throughout history. 

Sinop, where settled life began in the Bronze Age, is the happiest city in Turkey, with a happiness rate of 77.66 percent.

According to the news of İHA, the population of Kırıkkale, which ranked 4th in the list, increased by 8 thousand 698 people in 2023 and reached 285744. The growth experienced in the city was evaluated as the opportunities offered by the region.

Speaking to İHA reporters, shopkeeper Eren Balcı stated that ‘life in Kırıkkale is peaceful and the high purchasing power of the people makes the shopkeepers happy.’ Turkey's calm, productive, economic or economically advantageous cities are the source of happiness.
