Key Museum

Key Museum

Launched in 2015, Key Museum is Turkey's most comprehensive classic car and motorcycle museum. The museum takes its visitors on a tour of world automobile history. Born out of Murat and Selim Özgörkey's passion for automobiles, the main collection of the museum, built on an area of 7000 square meters, consists of 84 cars and 44 motorcycles.

Atatürk Museum

Atatürk Museum

Built between 1875 and 1880 by carpet merchant Takfor, the building has a Neoclassical style that blends Ottoman and Levantine architecture. In 1923, the museum building hosted the Izmir Economic Congress, where Atatürk conducted his personal studies. Between 1930 and 34, the house where Atatürk stayed during his visits to Izmir has been operating as the 'Atatürk Museum' since 1988.

Women's Museum

Women's Museum

As a first in Turkey, Izmir Women's Museum is the 5th 'Boutique Museum' opened on January 23, 2014. The museum, which reminds the forgotten past and the power of Anatolian women, is located in Basmane, where Jews and Turks lived together in the first half of the 20th century. The building, where elements of European and traditional Turkish architecture are used together, is enriched with bay windows in neoclassical style. It is referred to as 'Izmir vi' in some sources.

Mask Museum

Mask Museum

One of the 60 Mask Museums in the world, the museum was opened in 2011 as Turkey's first and only 'Mask Museum'. 

The museum has a large collection of more than 300 pieces in 5 different categories: Ritual Masks, Theater Masks, Anatolian Masks, Death Masks and Trace Makers.

Umran Baradan Games and Toys Museum

Umran Baradan Games and Toys Museum

Founded in 2010 by Konak Municipality, Ümran Baradan Games and Toys Museum is one of Izmir's 'Boutique Museums'. It is a very special collection of toys acquired by the world-famous ceramic artist Baradan from various parts of the world, as well as the works of talented children who won degrees in the competitions she organized. The collection, conceptualized and enriched by Sunay Akın, has traces of the 1920s. 

The museum, one of the 60 Mask Museums in the world, became operational in 2011 as Turkey's first and only 'Mask Museum'.

Arkas Naval History Center

Arkas Naval History Center

Housed in a building with a unique architecture dating back to the 1800s, the Arkas Maritime History Center has been welcoming guests since 2012. Organized by Arkas Holding with the aim of sharing art with a wide audience and shedding light on maritime history, the center features ship models, paintings and ship antiques brought together with great precision.

Caricature Museum

Caricature Museum

One of the caricature museums in Turkey, which dates back to 1975, welcomes its visitors in Izmir. Atila Özer Caricature House, which was opened by caricaturist Prof. Dr. Atila Özer in 2004, and the Museum of Educational Caricatures, which was established under Anadolu University, started to operate as İzmir Museum of Joy and Caricature in 2011.

Izmir History and Art Museum

Izmir History and Art Museum

Opened in 2004, the Izmir Museum of History and Art occupies a total area of 13,320 square meters, of which 3,820 square meters is indoor and 9,500 square meters is outdoor. In the stone artifacts section, there are sculptural artifacts from the Archaic, Classical, Hellenistic, Roman and Byzantine periods, as well as ceramic artifacts from the 7000-year history of Izmir. 

Gold, silver and bronze coins used from the 6th century BC to the Ottoman period are also exhibited here.
