The film's international earnings have now reached $356.9 million, bringing its global cumulative total to $552.0 million.
"Wonka" Is A Far Step Up From Its Predecessors.
'Wonka' has already surpassed the last adaptation of the Roald Dahl novel. Tim Burton's 'Charlie's Chocolate Factory' earned $475 million worldwide despite mixed reviews. In contrast, Wonka received glowing reviews and the film continues to play well in cinemas. On the review aggregator website Rotten Tomatoes, the film has a new rating of 83% positive and approved, and an audience score of 91% shows how well the film has been received by family audiences.
