As the game ages, Elden Ring speedrunners are also getting faster than ever. With new tactics, strategies, and approaches, the time it takes to get to the credits is diminishing every day. But this speedrunner has taken “speed” to a whole new level.

A speedrunner who goes by the name of Mitchriz was able to beat the game in a mere 12 minutes and 32 seconds! This unbelievable speedrun record was made possible using the new  'zip' and 'mega zip' technique that lets you zoom around the game.

Mitchriz only had to fight one boss and that’s why he came out with this amazing time. It made the two-week-old previous record which stands at 19 minutes old and too long. That’s a whopping 7 minute difference!

Using zips, Mitchriz was able to skip all of Limgrave and head directly into Liurnia. His approach involved this method as we can see Mitchriz set his character up in a blocking animation while a series of sounds play in the background to guide him. It’s almost like he's playing Mario Kart and about to start the race.

As soon as he heard the final beep, the speedrunner pressed W and we can see his character being catapulted across the entire map with so much speed that the world is delayed in loading the surroundings.

Upon reaching Liurnia, Mitchriz got the  Icerind Axe (for the weapon skill) and went  through the waygate to a late game area. This is where his first and last boss fight starts. The rest is history.
