Uzak Şehir, a series centered around tribal and land themes, has been a major catalyst in bringing such themes back into the spotlight, and has continued to enjoy great success in its second season.
The record-breaking and ever-trending 'Distant City' has set a precedent for TV series filmed and to be filmed outside of Istanbul. Following its lead, numerous on-location series were produced in the 2025-2026 season. Notably, 'This Sea Will Overflow', along with 'You Are The One I Love', and 'Successor: The Call of the Roots', all of which achieved success, were shot in various cities.
With the success garnered by "This Sea Will Overflow," interest in Black Sea-themed series had significantly increased. It was announced that "My Love Black Sea" would be the next production to be shot in Trabzon in the upcoming season.
As the details about the series were being clarified, it was learned that Emre Bey would be the lead actor in 'Sevdam Karadeniz'. However, a last-minute change occurred in the series that will be broadcasted on NOW TV. Emre Bey has left the series, bidding farewell to his role as Kuzey Alazlı. The actor, who was set to bring the character to life, mutually agreed to part ways with the producer following their discussion.
