Serkan Doğada, a content creator known for his nature-themed content, shared a video in which he made a natural torch by collecting resin that naturally hardens on tree bark and combining it with pine needles. The video particularly caught the attention of camping enthusiasts.

For those who enjoy spending time outdoors, camping, and immersing themselves in nature, mastering the art of fire-making is a fundamental skill. Although igniting a fire in windy or humid conditions can be challenging, camping enthusiasts have found a way around it.

As seen in the video, the first step involves gathering naturally formed yellow resin pieces from a tree trunk. This collected resin is then melted over a camping stove until it achieves a smooth, liquid consistency. Meanwhile, a large amount of dried pine needles is tightly packed into ice cube trays. When the hot melted pine resin is poured over these trays, it penetrates the spaces between the pine needles and hardens, forming a solid structure that holds its shape like a mold. Once these cube-shaped fire starters have cooled and hardened, they can be removed from the mold and easily ignited with even a small spark or flame, transforming into mini fire starters that can withstand wind.

This practical method simplifies the process of starting a fire in challenging outdoor conditions, allowing you to ignite a fire using entirely natural materials without the need for chemical fire starters. Moreover, these resin-infused fire starter cubes are resistant to moisture thanks to their protective outer resin layer, even if they get wet, and they can be conveniently stored in a camping bag. These cubes, which can continue to burn for a long time with just a small flame, can be a camper's greatest ally, especially in emergency situations and when trying to ignite wet firewood.
