Tisan Island is a small island in Mersin province. It is located east of the Tisan Peninsula in Silifke district. Located right in the middle of Cleopatra Bay, this island is about 1 kilometer from the beach.

On the mainland, just southwest of the island, there are ancient ruins called Tisan Aphrodisias and some ruins are also found on the island. This island of Mersin, known for its natural and historical beauties, is described as the hidden paradise of the Mediterranean.

Tisan Island is approximately 32 kilometers from Silifke. Located behind the mountains, the island can be reached by passing through forests covered with pine trees. Tisan Island, which fascinates everyone at first sight and at the first step, makes swimming more enjoyable with its clear sea and white sands.

The peninsula consists of two bays. The sea is known as shallow and stony. Tisan Island Beach, which is called one of the cleanest and clearest seas of Mersin, is quite crowded during the summer season.

Tisan Island can be easily reached via Mersin-Antalya highway. We would also like to point out that the roads are quite winding. The view you will see at the end makes you completely forget the curve of the roads.

If you are coming to Mersin by plane, you can land at Alanya Gazipaşa Airport or Adana Airport. It takes approximately 3 hours to reach the island from both sides. If you are coming to Mersin by bus, you can first come to Silifke and take a minibus from there.

Tisan Island is also visited by boat tours departing from Taşucu. You can also choose these alternatives.
