The long-anticipated Manifestival event by Manifest, brought together thousands of music enthusiasts on the evening of July 10th.
With its grand stage production, surprise guests, and high-energy performances, the night that marked the festival season was dominated by Manifest, who performed their most beloved songs 'Zamansızdık', 'Daha İyi', 'Hileli' and 'Toz Pembe' along with their fans. The concert, which also featured Ajda Pekkan joining the band on stage, was applauded for a long time. However, the most talked-about event of the night was the health issue experienced by band member Hilal Yelekçi.
Just minutes into the concert, Hilal Yelekçi began to experience difficult moments due to a sudden and severe pain she felt in her leg.
Initially, the young artist continued to dance to avoid disrupting her performance, trying to complete the choreographies despite the pain she was experiencing. However, as the pain progressively increased, she struggled to stand on stage and was forced to leave the stage in tears.
After Hilal was taken backstage, the concert paused briefly, while the other band members Esin Bahat, Lidya Pınar, Mina Solak, Sueda Uluca, and Zeynep Sude Oktay stayed on stage to chat with the audience and calm their fans by explaining that medical teams were intervening.
After receiving initial treatment from the medical team backstage, Hilal returned to the stage following a check-up by the doctors.
However, the footage taken throughout the concert revealed that the young artist continued to dance despite the pain in her leg. Moments of her wincing, struggling to hold back tears, and visibly in pain while moving quickly spread on social media.
Following the incident, Hilal Yelekçi took to her social media account to both update on her health condition and thank her fans.
Hilal Yelekçi stated in her post:
'Good morning my loves, first of all, I'm fine, so I'm not posting a picture of me on a drip to avoid worrying you. I apologize for spending less time with you on stage yesterday and for not being able to talk at night.
Before the concert, I was in a very tough physical condition. I was so bad that I couldn't move my body. The fact that I had to see the needle five times for serums, tests, and medicines to get me up was a surprise to me. I won't even start on how scared I am of injections.
Putting everything aside... You were truly wonderful yesterday. I love you all so much. You give me strength on stage with your energy. I'm so glad you exist.'
