Manifest and Motive Quietly Change the Cover Art for 'pVg' Following Backlash
Manifest quickly rose to become one of the most talked-about music groups in Turkey. In response to the overwhelming demand, the anticipated news arrived. Manifest announced that the song would be released on all digital platforms under the title 'pVg (Manifest Live Remix)'. The track, which was made available on digital music platforms, primarily Spotify, on July 24, met with intense interest from listeners right from the first day.
However, the music wasn't the only topic of conversation following the song's release. This time, it was the single's cover that caught the listeners' attention.
In the initial cover release, passport-style photos of Manifest members, Motive and Pango, were utilized in a collage composed of nine squares.
The most striking detail of the design was the heavy and intense makeup concept applied around the eyes of all the names. Social media users began to criticize this look.
In a short span of time, thousands of posts were made on X and Instagram, with the cover design becoming the butt of jokes.
Despite the growing criticism, no official statement came from the team, but there was a notable development. The cover image on digital platforms was quickly changed.
The initial design was completely removed and replaced with a live performance photo taken on the Manifestival stage. The new cover, featuring Manifest members, Motive and Pango in the same frame, reflected the festival atmosphere with its energetic structure and was much more positively received by listeners.
