History of Küçüksu Pavilion
The history of Küçüksu Pavilion dates back to the Ottoman Empire. Built in 1856-1857 during the reign of Sultan Abdülmecid II, this rare structure was designed by the famous architect of the period, Garabet Balyan and his son Nigoğayos Balyan.
Küçüksu Pavilion served as a resting place used by the members of the palace during the summer months.
The history of the pavilion also reflects the Ottoman aesthetics of the period. Influenced by neoclassical and baroque styles, the pavilion reveals the artistic understanding of the period with its rich decorations and carving details.
Architecture and Interior Decorations
The architecture of Küçüksu Pavilion is a striking feature. This two-story building appears to be of equal size from all four facades. The exterior of the pavilion is covered with white marble and the decorations are meticulous.
Various materials imported from Europe were used in the interior decoration. The interior, decorated with crystal chandeliers, Sevres porcelain and furniture imported from Paris, fascinates those who see it.

The pavilion is also used for various events and special occasions. It offers a unique venue for weddings, private meetings and various cultural events.
