IShowSpeed, a popular YouTuber and streamer, was recently banned from playing any Riot Games titles after engaging in a violent verbal assault toward a female Valorant player. The streamer appeared to blatantly shout the B word and the word 'female' in the clip below, which is a clear form of misogyny. He later apologized for his rash behavior, stating that he was having a bad day. While some trash talk in games appears to be mild and easily forgivable, IShowSpeed's was downright aggressive.

The tweet posted by Jake Lucky has been noticed by both Riot Games and YouTube. Sara Dadafshar, a Riot Games producer, replied to his tweet saying

“This is a huge yikes and we do NOT want players like this in our community at all. I went ahead and perma banned this player from VALORANT, as well as all other Riot Games. Thanks for raising this. Please keep raising stuff like this and reporting so we can make VAL safer 🔨🔥.”

Shannon Williams, Jett's VA, has also expressed her displeasure in the thread section, stating

“All this rabid dog behavior just to miss the easiest shots 💀 Pick a struggle”

Also, YouTube's Lester Chen took notice and responded 'On it,' indicating that YouTube will decide whether to ban IShowSpeed from their platform as well. Meanwhile, IShowSpeed's YouTube channel is still active as of today.

This does not appear to be the entire story behind the clip, as another clip from the same match shows the same victim and his teammates saying, 'Only white characters can heal,' which is clearly a racist remark.
