In 2015, General Motors had withdrawn its Chevrolet brand from Turkey. Then, in 2017, the American automotive giant completely pulled out of Europe. However, a new decision has been made. The automotive behemoth, which will be making a comeback in Europe by 2024, is now setting its sights on Turkey. General Motors has decided to return to Turkey. Having signed a dealership agreement with Tur Oto, the automotive giant will this time offer Cadillac, Chevrolet, and GMC for sale in Turkey.

Tur Oto, set to become the Turkish representative of General Motors, has made a statement. The announcement contained the following remarks:
'For the first time ever, General Motors is making a powerful entrance into the Turkish market through an official dealership, bringing all its brands and models. All operations related to spare parts and warranties will now be carried out through a dealership network to be established under the assurance of Tur Oto Inc., integrated with General Motors' European operations.'
