Heart-Stopping Moment: Man Falls Down During Traditional Bull Run in Spain
Sometimes, we're on the lookout for practical methods to simplify our household chores or cleaning tasks. However, many of these methods aren't as safe as they seem. In an attempt to speed up our work, we can sometimes end up creating bigger problems for ourselves.
A woman, in an attempt to wash all the shoes in her house at once, tossed them collectively into the washing machine. But when the wash cycle ended, she was left with not a single intact shoe. This incident served as a stark warning to those who might be tempted to take the easy way out by throwing their shoes into the machine.
You can watch it from here;
The issue is not the washing machine, but improper washing.
Upon opening the washing machine, it's evident that the soles of the sneakers have completely detached from the upper body, and the lining and fabric parts have unraveled from their seams, turning into mere pieces of cloth. This unfortunate situation is primarily due to the selection of incorrect washing temperatures and high-speed spin cycles. The special adhesives used in the production of sneakers lose their strength and dissolve when exposed to high-temperature water and the vigorous rotations of the washing machine drum.
Particularly in shoes made from a combination of fabric and synthetic leather, no matter how sturdy the stitches are, the chemical adhesive holding the sole melts entirely at temperatures as high as 60 degrees Celsius. To prevent such a disaster, it's crucial to wash the shoes at a maximum temperature of 30 degrees Celsius, with the spin cycle either completely turned off or set to a very low speed, and within protective washing nets. Otherwise, you're bound to face the inevitable disappointment of holding the sole in your hand while the rest of the shoe spins around in the drum, torn to pieces, just like in the video.
