Allegedly, a small-scale female manufacturer who printed the visuals and dialogues of the Prince character on mugs and sold them was sued for unauthorized use, with a claim amounting to 1 million TL. As the news spread, the woman manufacturer shared a tear-filled video on her social media account, narrating her ordeal.
The female entrepreneur, who claimed to run a small-scale boutique production, expressed her profound shock following the legal proceedings directed at her.
In the video he shared, the producer expressed his frustration by saying, 'How much can I profit off you?' He stated that he was a small business trying to survive on his own and used the words, 'I'm struggling to hold back my tears.'
As the issue gained traction, Giray Altınok also clarified the allegations through a statement from his X account.
The famous actor stated that he did not personally monitor the copyright processes, and these procedures were handled by lawyers. He said:
'Friends, we don't personally monitor copyright-related processes. There are lawyers who keep track of this. Therefore, we're not instantly informed about every single procedure. Moreover, production companies and channels also have separate rights that need to be protected in relation to these contents.'
Altınok also pointed out that he learned the female producer had previously faced similar copyright issues and addressed the most significant claim discussed in the public. 'According to the information I have received now, there is no lawsuit filed against her for that amount on my behalf,' said the actor, concluding his statement with the following words:
