The 28-year-old Florence Pugh explained the difficulty she faced after shaving her head for the role, stating:
'In many religions, hair is considered the most important part of the body because it's where we store our memories, dreams, and history. I shaved my head for this role, and it was honestly such a strange experience. While my scalp was so sensitive, people kept trying to touch my head. My body went through a kind of trauma because of it—it always felt cold.'
In the movie We Live in Time, Pugh’s hair is cut by Andrew Garfield.
