Everything Went Wrong for Actors Portraying Jesus in Dramatic Semana Santa Reenactment Mishaps

You may have come across videos on social media of ceremonies reenacting the crucifixion of Jesus Christ amidst a crowd. In the Christian world, a ceremony is held every year during the 'Holy Week', the final week before Easter, particularly on 'Good Friday', the day believed to be when Jesus was crucified. These events, which are held in the streets with the active participation of the public, are especially prevalent in countries where Catholic faith is strong, such as Mexico, the Philippines, Spain, Italy, and Guatemala. During these events, the process of Jesus' journey to death is portrayed in highly dramatic forms.

In Mexico, the man playing Jesus suddenly fell from the cross when his hands were untied. Although the crowd was thrown into panic, the man was unharmed. Following this incident, similar accident footage from different ceremonies started to emerge.
