In the Christian world, a ceremony is held every year during the 'Holy Week', the final week before Easter, particularly on 'Good Friday', the day believed to be when Jesus was crucified. These events, which are held in the streets with the active participation of the public, are especially prevalent in countries where Catholic faith is strong, such as Mexico, the Philippines, Spain, Italy, and Guatemala.
