Another world-breaking speedrunning record has taken the entire Elden Ring community by storm. This time, the new record was made by Distortion2, who completed the game in under 7 minutes, which is absolutely insane.
This clearly shows that Elden Ring speedrunners are a whole different breed. Distortion2 may be the most popular Elden Ring speedrunner yet, as he has set numerous speedrunning records over the past few weeks.
He recently tweeted about his accomplishment and said that he still has some 'room for improvement”, and that he’s “done with this for now”, meaning that he will return to set more speedrunning records.
Just before this record was set, he also beat the game in approximately 8 minutes and 56 seconds, which is just a minute more than his latest record. He took advantage of the Zip strategy, which lets players teleport around the map.
Distortion 2 was also responsible for the incredible under-30-minute speedrun last month. He also packed an arsenal of exploits with him to get through major parts of the game.
