At the funeral, his daughter Dijan Köse bid him farewell with the words, 'Dr. Erol Bey, your infinite love in my heart is the greatest legacy you've left me; with your wisdom, your creations, and your music that is a favorite of every generation, you will live on forever with me.'
In recent hours, it has come to light, according to a report by Özge Eğrikar from Hürriyet, that Dijan Köse has initiated a lawsuit to disclaim an inheritance.
Following the demise of Erol Köse, it was reported that his inheritance became a subject of legal dispute. It was learned that his sole heir, his daughter Dijan Nazlan Köse, initiated a 'renunciation of inheritance' lawsuit, on the grounds that she unequivocally rejected the inheritance bequeathed to her by her father.
In the petition submitted to the Istanbul Civil Court of First Instance, it was stated, 'Our client unequivocally rejects the inheritance transferred to her from her father, Erol Köse. All rights and obligations related to her status as an heir and the estate have ceased to exist for our client.'
