The film, in which Robert Downey Jr. and Robert Pattinson would share the lead roles, was supposed to be about a serial killer going into politics in order to enact more murder-friendly laws. While Robert Pattinson, the lead actor of the film, was planned to give life to a serial killer who will be at the centre of the story, a sad news came about the project. After the cast grew with stars such as Amy Adams, Forest Whitaker and Danielle Deadwyler, the news we received disappointed the audience.
Controversy and Financial Concerns
It was announced that the film, which was planned to be an allegorical black comedy genre, was suddenly shelved while looking for a broadcast platform and studio. Director Adam McKay had said that the project would appeal to both sides of the political spectrum. However, it is said that not everyone who read the script agrees.
