Ancient Majesty: Digital Recreation Reveals Original Look of Mount Nemrut Statues

As you may know, Mount Nemrut is listed on UNESCO's World Heritage list and is one of the most well-known ancient sites in Turkey, thanks to its gigantic stone statues. These statues, which were placed at the peak of the hill thousands of years ago, have had their heads separated from their bodies and rolled down due to earthquakes and natural conditions over time. Today, visitors see the statues in their fragmented state.

A content creator named 'ensarozyurt.art' presented the site as it would have appeared thousands of years ago in a video, by digitally reattaching the heads of the statues to their bodies. The footage clearly illustrated the stark contrast between the current ruined landscape and the grandeur of its past.
