World's Largest Green Bridge Being Built for Wildlife Will Be Closed to All Human Use
In the city of Agoura Hills, nestled within the state of California, USA, a structure is rising that promises to be a game-changer in the history of engineering and nature conservation projects. This bridge will serve as a lifeline for wild animals that have been tragically separated from each other due to heavy vehicle traffic for years, and have lost their lives while attempting to cross the highway.
Thanks to the passageway, a multitude of species ranging from mountain lions to jackals will be able to safely migrate between their natural habitats without being hindered by the highway.
This corridor, bridging two large regions, will aid in preserving the genetic diversity of the species and maintaining the health of the population.
The construction of this colossal ecological investment is progressing rapidly, with plans to have it fully completed by the end of 2026.
