Millions of citizens living in Turkey are eagerly awaiting the draw for the Hajj pilgrimage. Fatih Mehmet Karaca, Deputy Head of Religious Affairs and a member of the Inter-Ministerial Hajj and Umrah Board, announced that the draw for the 2026 Hajj will take place at 10:30 am on November 5, 2025.
Karaca stated that the Inter-Ministerial Hajj and Umrah Board, which had convened three times in 2025, made its fourth meeting on October 23 and decided on the items on its agenda. He noted: 'The date for the Hajj draw was also determined at the board meeting where preparations for the 2026 Hajj were discussed. Accordingly, the draw for the 2026 Hajj will take place at 10:30 am on Wednesday, November 5, in the 15 July National Will Martyr Ali Alıtkan Conference Hall of the Directorate of Religious Affairs. The draw, which will take place digitally in the presence of a notary and the press with the participation of the members of the Inter-Ministerial Hajj and Umrah Board, can also be followed live by our citizens.'
Regarding the citizens who will participate in the Hajj draw, Karaca said, '1,615,044 of them have updated their registration, and 184,791 are first-time pre-registrants for the purpose of going to the Hajj, making a total of 1,799,835 citizens eligible to participate in the 2026 Hajj draw.'
