Eskikaraağaç Village in Karacabey, the sole representative of Turkey in the European Stork Villages Union, is currently witnessing historic moments. Yaren the Stork, whose friendship with fisherman Adem Yılmaz has been the subject of documentaries, gave the first good news after completing her migration journey for this year and returning to her nest. The first egg in the nest hatched, and Yaren's first offspring opened its eyes to the world.
Wildlife photographer Alper Tüydeş announced the joyful news through his social media. Tüydeş stated that the parents are closely attending to their chick, saying, 'As of yesterday, Yaren the Stork's first chick emerged from its egg. The parents immediately started caring for the chick. We can't see it clearly due to the angle, but I believe we will have 3 or 4 chicks this year.'
