The ongoing drought is affecting the reservoirs in Bursa, with water cuts that began on October 1st continuing. Despite these cuts, the reservoirs are running out of water. The Nilüfer Reservoir has completely depleted, while the water level in the Doğancı Reservoir continues to drop.
According to information available on Hava Forum, Bursa currently has a two-day water supply left. Emergency pipe laying operations have begun at the Çınarcık Reservoir. Moreover, according to a statement from the Bursa Metropolitan Municipality, due to the critical drop in reservoir fill rates, planned water cuts will be implemented on October 16th and 22nd.
The water shortage in reservoirs across the country has reached a critical level in Bursa.

Drought has dried up the reservoirs of Bursa, known as the city of water. The planned water cuts, which have been in effect for 12 hours a day since October 1, have been extended. The city will implement planned water cuts on October 16-22. According to a statement from the Bursa Metropolitan Municipality, these planned water cuts will be carried out in rotation in neighborhoods connected to the districts of Osmangazi, Yıldırım, Nilüfer, Mudanya, Gürsu, Kestel, and Karacabey, provided they do not exceed 12 hours a day. The cuts, which aim to save 100,000 cubic meters of water daily, will not affect Bursa City Hospital, Bursa Uludağ University, or state hospitals. It was also announced that there will be water cuts at certain hours on October 16 in the city.
The laying of new pipes from Çınarcık Dam has commenced!

The water in the Nilüfer Dam has been completely exhausted. Meanwhile, the water level in the Doğancı Dam continues to decline. The average fill rate of the dams in Bursa has dropped below zero.
According to information found in the Weather Forum, in an attempt to alleviate the water shortage, the process of laying pipes from the Çınarcık Dam has begun.
