Experts emphasize that having strong legs is not just an aesthetic or athletic advantage, but directly supports vital functions. In particular, the muscles known as the 'Quadriceps,' the back muscles, and the inner side muscles take on the role of the body's engine. Moreover, the 'gastrocnemius' muscle, which is the twin muscle visible on the upper and back part of the calf, and the 'soleus' muscle located just below it in a deep structure, have a much larger role in our overall health than anticipated.

Explaining why leg muscles are so critical, specialists draw attention to the fact that these muscles function much like a second heart. For a healthy cardiovascular system, it's essential for blood to easily return to the heart, and in this process, leg muscles take on the role of pumping. On top of that, the fact that the lymphatic circulation has a passive mechanism, meaning it is entirely dependent on muscle movements, further underscores the importance of moving your legs. 'I'm going to share something crucial for a long, healthy life.

Leg muscles; they're the key to longevity...

I emphasize this in almost every video I make, every TV show I participate in, and on my YouTube channel.

Leg muscles are indeed the key to a long, healthy life.

I always say that my favorite exercise is the 'Squat', and this is the reason why.

Especially the 'Thigh Muscles', namely quadriceps (front muscles), hamstrings (back muscles), and adductors (inner side muscles). The 'Calf Muscles', namely the gastrocnemius, which is the most visible from the outside, the twin muscle located at the top and back of the calf, and the soleus, a wider and deeper muscle located underneath the gastrocnemius muscle.

These two muscles are among the most important in the body.

A healthy cardiovascular system (easy return of blood to the heart), a good lymphatic circulation (which is passive and depends on muscle movement), metabolic flexibility, namely sugar metabolism and its removal from the blood, are closely related to these muscles.
