Mystery True-Crime Documentary and Podcast Series ‘Girl in the Picture’ Debuts Netflix This July – Release Date and Everything We Know So Far!

A long-standing mystery regarding the woman's true identity and the dangerous federal fugitive at the center of it all is dispelled by the odd death of a young mother and the subsequent kidnapping of her son.

The new true-crime documentary 'Girl in the Picture' and its companion podcast series will shed light on the puzzling mystery surrounding Sharon Marshall. It all began with a picture, one that, upon closer examination, revealed a wicked and agonizing 30-year riddle.

The shocking true crime story of how it took 30 years—and even Sharon Marshall herself—to figure out Sharon Marshall's identity. The executive producer of the movie and the author of the best-selling books 'A Beautiful Child’ and its follow-up 'Finding Sharon', award-winning investigative journalist Matt Birkbeck, revealed the tragic story of Sharon Marshall, a talented and attractive adolescent. ‘Girl in the Picture’ is under-helmed by the other true crime doc movies Junk Dreams, Abducted in Plain Sight, and Dead Asleep, which is award-winning cinematographer and filmmaker Skye Borgman. Jimmy Fox is the producer.

In addition to the documentary, a special five-part audio serial will be released via Netflix. The podcast 'Girl in the Picture' will include further material and interviews not shown in the movie.
