More Best Episodes Of The Latest ‘Twilight Zone’ Reboot from 2020
The second and, as of now, final season of The Twilight Zone was, once again, very spotty. But in case you run across it on Paramount Plus, you might want to check out select episodes that are worth watching. Here are four more recommended episodes (plus some extras if you happen to love the show).
Episode #2 - “Downtime”
One of the best episodes of the second season comes directly from Jordan Peele. His teleplay follows a hotel manager who discovers her entire life might not be what it seems. The episode is directed by J.D. Dillard, who made the lesser-known gem Sweetheart, a Blumhouse survival horror film.
Episode #3 - “The Who of You”
From Candyman co-writer Win Rosenfeld, this thrilling episode finds an out-of-work actor taking on the role of a lifetime: the physical embodiment of anyone who makes eye contact with him.
Episode #9 - “Try, Try”
This is one of few episodes that benefitted from a slightly longer runtime (usually a problem for the weak episodes). “Try, Try” finds chemistry in a chance meet-cute between characters played by Topher Grace and Kylie Bunbury until one of them reveals that the meeting was far more planned than the other could possibly have imagined.
Episode #10 - “You Might Also Like”
A spiritual successor to “To Serve Man” of sorts, this episode has an undercurrent of surreal satire set against an ominous alien presence.
Bonus!
Episodes 1, 5, and 8 (“Meet in the Middle,” “Among the Untrodden,” and “A Small Town”) are further fine, simple episodes to satiate hardcore fans who don’t want to see the worst episodes. Though this season, on average, might have been a bit better than the first, the show was still canceled due to low ratings.
You can watch both seasons on Paramount Plus right now!
