Izmir Ege High School Requested Concordat
Recently, there has been a surge in bankruptcy and restructuring news across nearly all sectors, and another institution has just been added to the list. Izmir Private Ege High School, one of the long-established institutions in the education sector, has also filed for restructuring.
In recent times, amidst economic contraction, escalating costs and financial instability that have been challenging various sectors, there has also been an onset of bankruptcy protection applications in the field of education.
The owner of Özel Ege Lisesi, one of Izmir's established private schools, Izmir Education Health Industry Investment Inc., has requested bankruptcy protection from the court. The court, assessing the probability of the success of the bankruptcy protection, initiated the definitive period process not only for the company but also for Yansı Eraslan and Ebru Eraslan. As part of the decision, previously implemented precautionary measures will also continue.
In the court's decision, it was stated, 'Considering the possibility of the success of the bankruptcy protection, a definitive period of one year from October 24, 2025, has been granted for the plaintiff debtor Izmir Education Health Industry Investment Inc., and plaintiffs Yansı Eraslan and Ebru Eraslan. It has been decided to implement the results of the definitive period and to continue the precautionary measures.'
