A few days ago, a passenger plane crashed in Kazakhstan, resulting in the loss of 38 lives. On Sunday, December 29, another tragedy occurred in South Korea, where the death toll has reached 179, according to the latest reports.
The passenger plane was identified as a Boeing 737-800 from the Jeju Air fleet.
The plane went off the runway and crashed into a wall during landing, then was consumed by flames. While the investigation into the crash is ongoing, a South Korean youth, who lost family members in the tragedy, shared a post on social media.

'As soon as I heard the news, I rushed to the airport with my relatives. I can’t even explain how much I prayed for their safety. They said there was still hope because the death toll was low. After hearing that two people were rescued, I saw the number of deaths rise and had a feeling that my family wouldn't be safe. I think from that moment on, I started mentally preparing myself. I didn’t know how I would live without my family, how I should live, or who I should turn to for help, but I know I must live like this now. I’m a real adult, growing up fast, taking care of my younger siblings while looking after my mom and dad, and trying to live well.'
"First of all, citizens were neglected instead of being rescued. As the death toll rose, there was no increase in the rescue teams. Our hopes kept diminishing."
'Of course, the strong impact and fire had damaged the bodies, reducing the chances of survival. Secondly, I don’t know why the system is like this, but we had to wait for a very long time. Identifying the bodies took an incredibly long time. When we finally got there to see their faces, it was already dawn. We found our relatives quickly, but others were found later. Some are still missing. Thirdly, the freezer... We've been asking for a freezer since the day of the crash, and the authorities said they would provide it. But it was delayed. We need to put the bodies in the freezer as soon as possible to prevent them from decomposing and causing further damage.'
