Mattel’s ‘He-Man and the Masters of the Universe’ returns for a second season this March 2022.

'He-Man and the Masters of the Universe' is a computer-animated scientific fantasy streaming television series created by Rob David that is a remake of the same-named 1983 series. On September 16, 2021, Netflix (under its Futures label) broadcast the series.

He-Man and the Masters of the Universe was created as a tie-in to the Mattel superhero toy series. Between 1983 and 1985, the animated series aired for two seasons. However, each season had 60+ episodes, which was more than enough to establish a massive fandom that still loves He-Man, She-ra, and other characters to this day in numerous nations. Netflix commissioned two different shows to appeal to older and younger audiences, and the idea worked: fans and critics alike praised He-man and the Masters of the Universe and Masters of the Universe: Revelation.

The ten-episode first season of Netflix's 'He-Man and the Masters of the Universe' follows a young Prince Adam as he discovers Grayskull's powers on the planet Eternia. Meanwhile, the evil Skeletor marches into Eternos' capital, determined to seize Castle Grayskull and all of Eternia for himself. The two-part Season 1 conclusion pits the two and their respective allies against one another, and while Skeletor takes over Eternia, the castle and all of our heroes are taken to unknown lands thanks to Eldress.

Season 2 is set to take off where Season 1 left off, which did not end happily. He-Man and his companions (the Masters) were unable to prevent Skeletor from assuming the throne of Eternos and were forced to split up, implying that Season 2 will center on the gang reuniting and devising a way to destroy Skeletor's staff and potentially defeat the Dark Masters.
