"The sense of instant, continuous affirmation and empathy provided by technology is extremely potent. Suppose you're asking, 'Is my dating life a disaster because of me?' The artificial intelligence responds with 'No, the problem isn't you,' because this offers empathy and affirmation."
This affirmation creates a sense of security in our minds. In male psychology, this constant and immediate attention and empathy brings along the feeling of being 'safe'. However, in reality, communicating with people, especially flirting, makes many men feel risky and insecure.
