The Ministry of Health has revamped its 'Swimming Water Monitoring System' website. It transparently provides the public with water quality and safety information for all swimming areas across Turkey. Upon entering the site, users can instantly query the current status of the beach they wish to visit by utilizing filters for provinces, districts, and swimming areas. Moreover, thanks to the 'View on Map' option, they can track the cleanest beaches in their vicinity live based on location.

According to the latest data shared on the system, there are a total of 1500 swimming areas registered across Turkey. It appears that 82% of these areas meet the 'Excellent Quality' standard as a result of rigorous inspections and analyses. In addition, the system also provides up-to-date information indicating that a total of 580 beaches in our country have been awarded the 'Blue Flag'.

Citizens will be able to check the water cleanliness levels of the bays they are considering visiting in real-time from their mobile phones, whether they're sunbathing on the beach or on the road. Experts strongly recommend that families with children and individuals with sensitive skin should definitely check the water quality through this system before diving into the sea at an unfamiliar beach.
