The Brazilian Supreme Court had called on Elon Musk to reverse his decision, stating that the company is required to have an official representative in the country.
After the deadline passed without the company appointing an official representative, the court shut down X nationwide.
The ruling also stated that anyone using a VPN to access X would face daily fines of up to $8,874.
