Axios Seattle reports that with the opening of the East Link extension, a direct light rail system connection has been established between Seattle and Bellevue, marking the completion of a long-term planning process.
Considering the heavy vehicle traffic in the region, this line could bring about a substantial change. People may become less reliant on cars to cross the lake. The train line also connects to a broader transportation network including SeattleTacoma Airport, Federal Way, Lynnwood, Redmond, and the settlements in between.
