The Real Griselda Blanco
Griselda Blanco Restrepo, born on February 15, 1943, played a pivotal role in the drug trade from Colombia to locations spanning Miami, New York, and California. As a member of the Medellin Cartel, she rose to prominence in the 1980s, orchestrating an extensive and illicit drug trade network. Blamed for around 2,000 murders during her criminal career, Blanco's arrest in 1985 by DEA agents marked a significant event.
