Here's The Coverage Of History's Most Scandalous Oscar Awards!

-

The 89th Annual Academy Awards aired Sunday. Here's what you need to now about this year's Oscar Awards!

The award ceremony was hosted by Jimmy Kimmel at Dolby Theatre.

One of the most memorable details of this year's ceremony was the blue ribbons on the red carpet.

These ribbons represented American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU) as a way to protest the immigration policy of Donald Trump.

The ceremony started with Justin Timberlake's Can't Stop the Feeling performance.

Jimmy Kimmel's opening monologue was full of sarcasm pointing towards Trump.

At the end of his monologue, Kimmel praised the legendary actress Meryl Streep who was recently was criticized to be overrated by Trump.

Kimmel reflected his mobile phone on the big screen and mentioned Trump over Twitter by writing "Merlysayshi"*.

If there is a word to describe this year's ceremony it is definitely weird. A group of tourists interrupted the ceremony as they were taken inside the theatre by claiming that they are on a museum trip.

Nicole Kidman's clapping attempt were certainly remarkable.

NO! It is MOONLIGHT

25. Yes, Faye Dunaway read the name in the envelope and announced the world that La La Land is the best picture.

Except it wasn't! As one might expect, the team of the film was super happy and excited. They went on stage to make the acceptance speech.

26. Soon after a person in charge approached from behind and this was a solid sign that something is wrong.

It is understood that the envelope was wrong the best picture award belonged to Moonlight.

27. La La Land team went through the biggest shock on the stage. The award is given to the team of Moonlight!

This way the history's most scandalous Oscar ceremony ended with surprising everyone on this planet.
