In a conversation with ET reporter Rachel Smith at the New York premiere of Mr. & Mrs. Smith on Wednesday, the 40-year-old actor and musician shared that the project is still in full swing, and there's even a completed script. However, it seems the script hasn't landed in Glover's inbox just yet. 'I haven't read it yet,' he says. But one thing is certain – Glover is fully dedicated to this project! The acclaimed actor states, 'It really is just a matter of schedules in terms of when we're going to be shooting, but I'm in.'
The sequels to the film also seem to be on the horizon.
When Peacock announced the film was in production in September 2022, nearly a decade after the start of the fan campaign. The movie will reunite the original show's creator, Dan Harmon, with stars like Joel McHale, Gillian Jacobs, Danny Pudi, Alison Brie, Jim Rash, and Ken Jeong. McHale and Andrew Guest will also serve as producers. Additionally, Peacock is acquiring the entire series for its streaming service.
The whole cast seems excited for the long-promised and anticipated film.

Glover proposing the film idea hasn't been hindered by him bidding farewell to the series in the fifth season.
Meanwhile, Glover was the one who initially proposed the idea. Making his first appearance since bidding farewell to the series in the fifth season at a virtual reunion table read in May 2020, Glover became the first to introduce the concept of a Community movie.
