16 Simple Beauty Tricks That Will Save You A Lot Of Time & Money!

-

We know that taking care of yourself requires a lot of time and money. But it doesn't have to be that way, well at least not for every product and beauty routine. Here are 16 ingenious beauty tricks to help you save time and money while looking great!

1. Here's a DIY alternative to eyebrow gel.

Instead of using gel for your eyebrows, you can use some ordinary hairspray. Spray some onto a special eyebrow comb, or use an old mascara brush. Smooth out your eyebrows right after using the spray.

2. How to whiten your nails:

Using dark polish colors can make your fingernails yellowish over time. To make them look clean and white again, soak a cotton wool pad in lemon juice, wrap it around your nail, and then cover it with foil. Keep it like this for 10-15 minutes, then remove.

3. Watch out for this symbol!

Cosmetic companies use this symbol to indicate how long you can use a beauty product after it’s been opened. So that you don’t forget when exactly this will be, write the date on the bottle using a marker immediately after opening it for the first time.

4. Emergency help for a broken nail.

You can use an ordinary tea bag for your broken nails. Just remove the tea leaves from the bag, and cut off a piece to fit your nail. Stick it on the spot where your nail has broken and cut off any excess that goes beyond the length of your nail. Now use a nail file to shape, and then cover with a base coat of polish.

Here's how to do it:

5. Use eye drops with dry mascara.

Using eye drops or contact lens fluid can bring your dry mascara back to life!  Add a few drops to the mascara tube, close it, and shake a few times. Now it should be as good as new.

6. Cleaning hair straighteners and curlers.

To clean your hair straighteners or hair curlers, mix together some baking soda with hydrogen peroxide, and wipe it along the surface using a soft tissue. Then wipe one more time with a completely dry tissue.

7. The perfect manicure.

Before applying your nail polish, apply some lip balm or Vaseline to the skin around your nails. This will prevent any polish from staining your skin — it can be removed easily with a brush or Q-tip.

8. Protect your cosmetic products while traveling.

To make sure your powder, blusher, and eye shadow don’t crack while traveling, place cotton wool pads over the top of them. This will soften any blows that come from being shaken around.

9. Use a plate for washing your brushes.

Take an ordinary single-use plastic or paper plate and make random shapes on its surface using hot glue. When the glue has dried, mix together some water and shampoo, and rub your brushes against the plate until the water running from them turns clear. Finally, rinse the brushes in some clean water.

10. Here's a trick for dried-out eyeliner.

If your eyeliner pen has dried out, just remove the brush head and turn it round, as shown here. You can use the other end, and it will feel as good as new.

11. Try baby oil instead of foam for shaving.

This simple trick can help you avoid irritation, and it will also help to better moisturize your skin.

12. How to get rid of hair static...

To get rid of static and smooth out your hair, just use ordinary dryer sheets. Pass them through the full length of your hair.

13. One great trick for lipstick.

After applying it to your lips, suck your finger for a moment. This will leave any excess lipstick on your finger and not on your lips, and that way it won’t end up on your teeth. Now use highlighter along the contours of your lips to make them stand out more.

14. Use blush to give your lipstick a matte finish

To give your lips a luxurious matte look, use blush. Just be careful to choose the right shade.

15. A soak for the skin on your feet.

For smooth and baby-soft skin on your feet, wash them in the following mixture:

  • 2 cups of warm water

  • 1 cup of vinegar

  • 1 cup of mouthwash

16. And here are some weird hacks for skin and travel.

To remove whiteheads with a bobby pin, place the head of a pimple in the center of the looped end, then push down gently until the pimple pops.

Use a bulldog clip to put over your razor when traveling so that you don’t cut yourself when digging through your bag.
