Now, Elly, with her cat in tow, finds herself fleeing from villains with the good-guy spy Aidan (Sam Rockwell) by her side. Directed by Matthew Vaughn, this action comedy boasts a dreamlike cast, including Samuel L. Jackson, Bryan Cranston, Dua Lipa, John Cena, Ariana DeBose, Sofia Boutella, and Catherine O'Hara.

Retired soldier Ludvig Kahlen (Mads Mikkelsen) returns to his birthplace in Denmark with the goal of constructing a settlement for the King to obtain a noble title. His efforts bring him into conflict with Frederik de Schinke (Simon Bennebjerg), a ruthless landowner willing to burn the world to get what he wants. The Promised Land reunites Mikkelsen with director Nikolaj Arcel and writer Anders Thomas Jensen, with whom he has collaborated frequently.

The lead female character of the film is out for revenge. Experimental French director Bertrand Mandico transforms Robert E. Howard's Conan the Barbarian (referred to as Conann here) into a gender-swapped, queer, and distinctly sci-fi reimagining. The fierce warrior Conann (Claire Duburcq) encounters five versions of herself from different universes, played by Christa Théret, Sandra Parfait, Agata Buzek, Nathalie Richard, and Françoise Brion. Collider's Maggie Lovitt describes She Is Conann as 'a stylish film about the inevitability of regret and the violence inherent in love.'

Another gender-swapped narrative, this time set in 1989. Lisa Frankenstein comes to life through the skilled pen of Diablo Cody, known for Juno and Jennifer's Body. After discovering a male corpse in Victorian-era England, Gothic student Lisa Swallows (Kathryn Newton) resurrects him with lightning. Lisa, having created her perfect man as Frankenstein, becomes love and murder partners with 'the monster' (Cole Sprouse). Director Zelda Williams takes her first step into feature film directing with Lisa Frankenstein.
